WUSD Tech Handbook :: Projector Systems
Projector Systems:

The Polevault System is the ceiling-mounted projector and speaker system installed in the classroom.

Step 1.
Turning on the Projector:

To turn on the projector you will need to press the "On" button on the wallplate. It will take a moment for the projector to come on.

The "On" button should light up on the wallplate, and the projector should be illuminating the screen.

  Step 2.
Choosing the Source:

RGB/VGA:

This is typically the first button on the wallplate labeled "RGB" or "VGA" (or VCR like the example above).

Select this button if you wish to connect a computer or laptop to the wallplate via a RGB/VGA cable.

Note: Make sure to plug the RGB/VGA caple from the computer or laptop into the RGB/VGA jack in the wallplate. If you want audio, you will need a 1/4" miniplug cable to plug from the headphone jack to the PC audio jack on the wallplate.

RCA:

This is the second button down on the wallplate which may be labeled "DVD".

Select this choice if you want to watch a dvd, vcr, or ipod plugged into the RCA

Note: Make sure to plug the DVD, VCR, or ipod into the RCA wallplate matching the white, yellow, and red jacks with the corresponding chords.

Network:

This is the third button down on the wallplate which may be labeled "PC".

Select this choice if you want to connect your computer screen via the network connection which is already plugged in your computer.

You won't need to use any cables, but you will need to open the program in your program folder labeled "Image Express Utility"

Once you open the Image Express Utility you will choose the Broadcom network connection if your computer or laptop is plugged into the wall via a network cable.

Finally, you will select the projector on the list that is on and available for connection.
