Tandberg Video Conferencing System
Each school has a Video Conference Room set up with a Tandberg system. In addition each school has two portable Tandberg systems which are set up on carts that can be moved to the classroom.
Step 1.
Wake Up The System
  • First make sure the power switch in the back of the main unit is on.
  • Use the Toshiba remote to turn on the power to the two flat panel screens.
  • To wake up the system just pick up the remote control and press the ok/menu button in middle of the remote.
Step 2.
Familiarize Yourself with the Remote
  • On the remote use the SelfView button to verify that the picture is working well and you can see yourself.
  • Make sure that the microphone is not on mute. Look for the mute sign on the screen.
Step 3.
Making a Call
  • Push the Green telephone button to make a call.
  • Dial the 4 digit extension of the person you are trying to call. The last four numbers of a school's main telephone number will call the conference room. Use 2020 to call the District IT office.
  • Push ok/menu button to send the call
  • Push the Red telephone button to hang up
Step 4.
Using the Cart System:
  • Using the Cart system in the classroom is much the same as the conference room except that you will need to use a wireless microphone.
  • Using the cart system in your classroom also requires that you plug in the power and network cables of the two white RoamAbout Wireless LAN units included in the cart. One unit will be plugged into a network jack in the wall and the other unit will be plugged into the network plug in the back of the Tandberg unit on top of the cart.
