School history

Cradleboard Elementary School (CBE) began 20 years ago in 1997.   Mrs. Barbara Nolan was the first principal here at CBE.  We have had a lot of new faces throughout the years and changes in the building.  We have had two additions to the campus over the years.  First the back wing and then the gym.  We enjoy being a neighborhood school nestled in the mountains and pine trees.

A Few numbers CBE is a K-5 school with just under 300 students.

We have 15 classroom teachers, three ancillaries, a reading specialist and resource teachers.

Community being served

We serve the communities of Over the Rainbow, Diamond Creek, North Fork, Jurassic Park, Hospital Housing, Cradleboard, McNary and HonDah.  We serve the Northern part of the Fort Apache Indian Reservation.
