Our School

School History
Cradleboard Elementary School (CBE) began 20 years ago in 1997.   Mrs. Barbara Nolan was the first principal here at CBE.  We have had a lot of new faces throughout the years and changes in the buildings and grounds. We enjoy being a neighborhood school nestled in the mountains and pine trees.

Cradleboard is a K-5 school with around 300 students. CBE has 17 classroom teachers, four ancillaries, two reading specialists and one ESS teacher.

Community Being Served
Cradleboard serves the communities of Over the Rainbow, Diamond Creek, North Fork, Jurassic Park, Hospital Housing, Cradleboard, McNary and HonDah.

Purpose of Cradleboard Elementary School

Cradleboard Elementary is a safe, orderly, and child-centered school that exists for children, parents, and the community.

Cradleboard’s highly qualified staff utilizes data-driven, research-based effective curriculum and instruction to enable students to meet and exceed academic standards and behavioral expectations.

In collaboration with parents and community, Cradleboard staff models to develop well rounded, productive, and responsible members of society who respect themselves, fellow students, staff, and others.

It takes all of us working together to ensure the success of our students. In 2022, Cradleboard earned a letter grade of a B from the Arizona Department of Education for the 2021-22 school year.
