Seven Mile Elementary School
land on which Mary Velasquez Riley Seven Mile Elementary School is built was
graciously donated to the Whiteriver Unified School District by Mary Velasquez
Riley. Mary V. Riley was a strong advocate for tribal education and fought for
better schools so that her Apache people could move into the future while
preserving their tribal traditions.
2002-2003, the old Seven Mile Elementary building was torn down and rebuilt.
Our school services grades Kindergarten through 5th grade, measures
74,000 square feet, and provides a secure and motivational environment for our
students. The school includes 28 classrooms, special education rooms, offices,
a gymnasium, cafeteria, library, and playing fields.
our school is still expanding and growing as our enrollment reaches 500+
students! Mary Velasquez Riley Seven Mile School is a wonderful place where
children, teachers, and support staff meet tomorrow’s education challenges.

The mission of Seven Mile Elementary School is to provide an atmosphere where all children are capable of success in both learning and life, no exceptions.

Seven Mile Elementary School will be a safe, orderly, and child-centered school that exists for children, parents, and the community.
Seven Mile’s highly qualified staff will utilize data-driven, research-based effective curriculum and instruction to enable students to meet and exceed academic standards and behavioral expectations.
In collaboration with parents and community, Seven Mile staff will model to develop well rounded, productive, and responsible members of society who respect themselves, fellow students, staff, and others.
We also encourage and promote a sense of PRIDE in all of our students.
It is our vision that all students at Seven Mile Elementary can achieve their dreams and that their Wildcat Pride can give them the power to do just that! We are Wildcat STRONG!
