Early Childhood Education is a Career and Technical Education program providing students with the academic knowledge and essential skills needed for working with young children.
Students receive instruction both in the classroom and in the child care lab setting. The Alchesay Beginnings Child Development Center provides students with the opportunity to practice the skills they have learned. Topics in instruction include health, safety, nutrition, curriculum, learning environments, leadership, developmentally appropriate practices, observation, science, math, literacy, professionalism, and much, more.
Students in the Early Childhood program receive dual enrollment college credits from Northland Pioneer College with an emphasis in either Infant/Toddler or Preschool.
