The current CDJH building was established in 2002. The school is built into three wings and includes a gym, cafeteria and sport annex. We are located within walking distance from the beautiful White River in Canyon Day. Our mascot is the Rough Rider and the artwork for the mascot was developed by a student, Dion Hawkins.

Our current enrollment is approximately 450 students in 6th, 7th and 8th grades. There are approximately 30 teachers on campus with multiple other support staff. Our staff is made up of unique and diverse backgrounds.

Popular activities at CDJH include sports, clubs, and other extra curricular activities. We have an active Native American club and Apache Language class.  Our Rough Rider PBIS ticket system rewards students for positive behavior.

Being a Rough Rider means our students and staff have grit. We all work hard and play hard. Our staff members work well together and our students are achieving and improving every day.

Being a Rough Rider is a positive state of mind and requires determination and hard work.

Welcome to Canyon Day where we make every day count.

WE ARE ROUGH RIDER STRONG!
