Health Plan
For the School Year 2016-17, Whiteriver Unified School District will cover at no premium cost to all certified staff and classified staff working over 30 hours a week a health insurance plan that is provided by Meritain Health/ASBAIT. This health insurance plan that the district pays for is the Value Gold Plan from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona. This plan has a $750.00 deductible per employee. If you bought up to the Classic Gold Plan, this plan has a $300.00 deductible per employee. Dental Plan
For the School Year 2016-17, Whiteriver Unified School District will cover at no premium cost all certified staff and classified staff working over 30 hours a week a group policy from Reliance Standard Insurance Company. This plan has a $25.00 deductible and covers 100% of preventive and 60% of major dental expenses. Vision Plan
For the School Year 2016-17, Whiteriver Unified School District will cover at no premium cost to all certified staff and classified staff working over 30 hours a week a group vision policy from Reliance Standard Insurance Company. This plan has different deductibles depending upon what services your are provided. Please refer to the benefit plan for specific plan coverage. Basic Life Insurance
For the School Year 2016-17, Whiteriver Unified School District will cover at no premium cost all certified staff and classified staff working over 30 hours a week a life insurance policy for $20,000 through the Reliance Standard Insurance Company. Administrators working over 30 hours a week are also provided a life insurance policy through the Reliance Standard Insurance Company. The superintendent is also provided a life insurance policy.
Short Term Disability
Short Term Disability will be provided through the Reliance Standard Insurance Company.
Sick Leave
For the School Year 2015-16 Whiteriver Unified School District will provide all certified staff and classified staff working over 30 hours a week, leave for any purpose acquired each pay period. Leave amount depends on length of employment. For more information, please see policy GCCA. Retirement
Whiteriver Unified School District is a member of the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS).
