Curriculum and Instruction Department

Virginia Feliz Jimenez Warwick,

WUSD Director of Curriculum and Instruction

I am a Treasure Hunter! I have worked or lived on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation since 1995. I received my Bachelor’s from Southwestern Assemblies of God University and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and a Certificate in Bilingual Multicultural Education with an emphasis is ESL from Northern Arizona University. Now, I am finishing my Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Concordia University Chicago.   I began working for the district as a library aide in Feb 1999 at the old Seven Mile building.  Then I became the librarian and was there for the move to Canyon Day and became a kindergarten teacher.  I moved to Arlington, Texas for 5 years in 2003 where I taught kindergarten, Spanish, and was a district ELL coordinator.  I returned to Whiteriver and Cradleboard Elementary School in 2008 to be close to my parents who worked as the pastors of Whiteriver Assembly of God.  Here at Cradleboard, I worked as a kindergarten and 3rd grade teacher and an instructional coach for 4 years. Then I became the principal of Cradleboard Elementary in the 2016-2017 school year. I thoroughly enjoyed my time as principal, but in February of 2019 I moved to the district office as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction.  Overall, I have worked at the district for 17 years and 5 additional years teaching in Texas.  I am married to Brian Warwick who works with hospice and we have two boys in high school. I love being a part of WUSD Strong!
